Lyons Community School seeks teachers for the 2026–2027 school year.

Lyons Community School is a small, progressive, unscreened New York City public secondary school in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn. We are united by a commitment to unconventional learning, unconditional support, and the unlimited potential of our students. Our liberal arts program is grounded in inquiry-based projects, field studies across New York City, and skills instruction tailored to students’ needs.

As members of the New York State Performance Standards Consortium, we assess student learning through performance-based work. All students present Roundtable presentations in their core subjects twice a year, and high school students complete graduation-level Performance-Based Assessment Tasks (PBATs).
