The Role

We are seeking a dynamic, flexible, and equity-minded Special Education Teacher (dual licensing a plus) to join our team. This role is unique in its breadth, offering the opportunity to: Co-Teach Across Curriculums: You will partner with general education teachers to provide high-quality ICT instruction across multiple core subject areas within a specific grade level.

Adapt & Differentiate: Design and implement modifications and accommodations that ensure all students can access rigorous content.

Drive Student Growth: Manage IEPs, track progress, and lead the specialized instruction necessary for student success.

The Advisory Model

At Bronx Lab School, we believe that strong relationships are the foundation of academic success. All teachers serve as Advisors. You will lead a small "Advisory" cohort of students, serving as their primary advocate and mentor throughout their high school journey.

You will facilitate social-emotional learning, academic tracking, and family communication, ensuring no student "falls through the cracks."

Qualifications

New York State Certification in Students with Disabilities (7-12).

A passion for co-teaching and collaborative planning.

Commitment to the Consortium model of performance-based assessment and learning.

Strong organizational skills for managing IEP compliance and Advisory responsibilities.
