The schools’ 12,000 students reflect the ethnic and racial diversity of NY public school students and include high percentages of multilingual learners and students with disabilities. The NYS Board of Regents has granted Consortium member schools the ability to graduate students using our performance assessment system in place of most Regents exams. This allows Consortium schools to implement innovative curriculum and assessments across disciplines.
Graduation rates at Consortium schools exceed that of their local districts as do their college enrollment rates. A recent study of Consortium students attending City University of New York has testified to their success in college.
