Queens Satellite High School Hiring Spring 2024 (Science, ENL, Special Ed.)

Queens Satellite High School for Opportunity, a small transfer school in Jamaica, Queens, is looking to hire for a leave replacement this spring, 2024, and the teacher would start as soon as possible. Ideally teachers would have a background in one of the following areas and have familiarity with the PBAT process.

  • Science 

  • English as a New Language

  • Special Education

Queens Satellite High School for Opportunity is a small transfer high school. Traditionally, we have served students who enroll at our school after going to another high school first.  In addition, we have a new program serving older newly arrived immigrants who speak English as a new language. For the 2023-2024 school year, we will focus on developing our program for newly arrived immigrants as well as designing and implementing gold standard projects.
