The Laboratory School of Finance and Technology is Seeking Innovative Teachers in Math, Spanish, Social Studies, Special Ed, English, and Counseling

The Laboratory School of Finance and Technology (07X223), a public district school located in the South Bronx, is looking for dedicated, intelligent, innovative staff members to add to our community of educators.  We are specifically seeking math, science, physical education, and foreign language teachers, but other teachers should consider sending a resume as hiring needs frequently change.  

The Lab School has been a high performing middle school in the South Bronx for the last twenty years.  We are a model school for both math instruction and Teachers College literacy instruction in the region.  After ten years as one of the highest achieving and most popular middle schools in District 7, The Lab School expanded from a middle school to a secondary school in September 2013.  In June of 2017 we had our first graduating class, with a 92% graduation rate, compared to 60% in our district and 66% borough wide, and we have maintained over a 90% graduation rate across each of our cohorts, including a 98% graduation rate with the Class of 2024.  In 2023, we were named a Federal Magnet school with a focus on Career Connected Learning.

We are also part of the New York Performance Standards Consortium (http://performanceassessment.org/), through which students receive the opportunity to complete independent  performance based research projects and present their findings in lieu of Regents exams to meet the graduation requirements.
