The Beacon School is Hiring Full-Time Teachers for the 2025–2026 School Year
The Beacon School is seeking several full-time, licensed teachers for the 2025–2026 school year! Beacon offers a challenging, thoughtful, and in-depth college-preparatory, liberal arts curriculum for students in grades 9–12. Our school features inquiry-based learning, a full range of elective courses and arts offerings, and a commitment to community service.
Beacon is a proud member of the New York Performance Standards Consortium—a community of schools whose students engage in performance assessment tasks instead of Regents Examinations. This unique model gives our teachers significantly more curricular and academic freedom to design learning units and activities that engage students, honor their interests, and push them toward higher levels of intellectual achievement.
Beacon is housed in a beautiful, modern building in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood and serves over 1,400 high school students. Thanks to the NY Class Size Funding Initiative, we are expanding our incredible team for the upcoming school year. We currently have openings in:
