Forsyth Satellite Hiring for Social Studies and SPED

Forsyth Satellite Academy is hiring multiple positions for 2025-2026!

Forsyth Satellite Academy is a transfer high school located in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, serving approximately 175 students, ages 14-21. We provide a progressive and engaging learning environment for students who have not found success in their current high school, are looking for a safe space, or would like to graduate early. 

Ideal candidates should:

  • Be excited to learn and work collaboratively with a team, and be familiar with different ICT models

  • Build community and champion equity through leading advisory or clubs, trips, or taking additional roles as needed 

  • Develop/adapt project-based learning curriculum that encompasses school initiatives around literacy, creative arts, work-based learning, competency-based grading, and restorative practices

  • Be familiar or willing to learn how to design and prepare students for the PBATs, a high-stakes final assessment  

  • Be flexible, committed, and responsive to our students, their interests, and life experiences

  • Be willing try new things, have a sense of humor, and unafraid to share who you are
