Brooklyn International--One Year Child Care Replacement
The Brooklyn International High School is currently accepting applications for a one-year childcare leave replacement for the 2019-2020 school year.
The Brooklyn International High School students are all recently-arrived, English language learners from more than 40 different countries and speak over 30 different languages. Our school is part of the non-profit Internationals Network for Public Schools and we use a collaborative based learning environment to help students develop language and content knowledge. Ideal candidates are interested in working with a diverse student population and are excited about helping students acquire and develop their English Language skills through meaningful content and contexts. Additionally, candidates should value working in a highly collaborative environment with an interdisciplinary team of colleagues. As a 23-year member of the New York Performance Standards Consortium, we seek to provide students with hands-on, project-based learning opportunities. Our teachers design engaging curriculum that is relevant to our students' lives and builds on the knowledge and skills they will need to succeed in college and careers.
Certification in ENL (English as a New Language) preferred, but we are open to reviewing applicants with other certifications. We are committed to building a culturally/linguistically diverse faculty and strongly encourage applications from a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives.
Interested candidates should send their resume and cover letter to email@example.com.
