East Side Community--Middle School Special Education 12:1:1

East Side Community High School is seeking a middle school special education teacher to teach the 12:1:1 6th-8th-grade bridged self-contained class for a sabbatical leave replacement during the Spring 2019 semester (late January to late June). The teacher would teach a double-period English class that combines independent reading, writing, and shared texts. In addition, the teacher would teach a single-period science class. The teacher may also co-teach a 6th-grade science class. The ideal candidate would also have experience with navigating IEPs and SESIS to deliver engaging, rigorous, and accessible instruction to a group of diverse learners. Finally, the ideal candidate would embrace collaborating with staff and parents in and beyond the classroom.
